In the beginning, I taught strictly how to read music, but about 20 years ago, I learned how to play by ear. People started calling me and asking me to teach them how to play the way I played. So I knew I had to come up with a lesson plan. That is when I developed my book "How to Play by Ear in Four Short Lessons". I am very proud of it and have placed hundreds of piano players in local churches, churches across our nation, and abroad since I started this. I have had at least a hand full of students that after only one lesson they played for congregational singing at their church that Sunday.

I am very active in my local church. I am a member of our praise and worship team and our choir. . I have also volunteered at local elementary schools teaching primary grades (K-3^rd) a basic music appreciation class. What made me decide to develop a web site? One day my daughter, Kristal was on my computer and she, I guess you would say, stumbled onto something that she thought was important. You see, over the past 30 years I have rewritten hymns for my students. The hymnbook is not an easy book to play from when you are a beginner. Most of my students want to play hymns right from the beginning. So I got some music writing software and I put all of my music on the computer.
